SQL SERVER Data Warehouse Developer

I have a 9+ month contract in Richmond VA. They are looking a Data Warehouse developer. The candidate must be able to come to Richmond for a face to face interview with their expenses. The pay rate is $DOE. The details are below.

 

 

The client has initiated the development of a data warehouse to allow users to build custom reports and perform analytic activities to support strategic initiatives. The staff to support this initiative, currently drawn from the CTSU Application Development Group, is involved in numerous other development and support activities. As this project is a large undertaking, there is a need for a dedicated developer with extensive data warehouse, ETL (Microsoft SSIS) and database experience. Additionally, a familiarity with Business Intelligence concepts is also desired. This developer would work with the Project Manager and other technical resources to insure that the development effort moves forward in a timely manner.

 

 

·         Data Warehouse design and implementation experience in a Microsoft SQL environment. Preferably multiple implementations.

 

·         Thorough knowledge of Data Warehouse practices and concepts.

 

·          Ability to make recommendations regarding the developmental direction of the Data Warehouse.

 

·         Familiarity with the various architectural approaches to building Data Warehouses.

 

·         Understanding of metadata concepts as they apply to the Data Warehouse environment.

 

·         Ability to translate Business Requirements into logical and physical data modeling.

 

·         Thorough understanding of dimensional modeling.

 

·         Experience with the construction of data marts.

 

·         Advanced ETL skills = Advanced Microsoft SSIS skills

 

·         Familiarity with Business Intelligence delivery platforms , preferably BOBJ.

 

·         Excellent communications skills.

 

·         Strong technical, analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

 

Self motivated. Ability to work alone with minimal direction or as part of a team.
